The LG 225 from Tracfone is a nice little folding camera phone allowing you to carry your phone in your pocket or purse without accidentally dialing.
This phone includes double displays. The little external display shows when the phone is folded. This allows checking the time or to see who is calling without opening your phone.
The camera allows you to take pictures and either store them in your phone or send them to your friends. You can send pictures to other friends or an internet address. You cannot download pictures straight to a computer because the phone does not have an accessible port.

Prepaid Cell Phone Guy, I'm pretty sure that without an accessible USB port, you can't do anything between a computer and phone. HOWEVER, I have seem to find USB cables for this phone, but there are two problems,
A) A lot of times when searching LG225 on google, you get the phone from sprint, which is different from this one.
B) being the tech nerd I am, I don't like the fact you're plugging in a USB cable into a charger slot. BAD things may happen. And, from my research (if you couldn't tell already, I want to do the same thing), it seems people have a hard time finding drivers to let the computer recognize the phone once plugged in.

It doesn't matter if you get a cable to attach properly to your phone and your computer. Tracfone has killed the connection so you cannot transfer anything between your computer and your Tracfone. This is true with the Motorolas and the LGs.

I would like to migrate pictures from my Trac-LG225 also. Great phone, cool Camera feature, but not well thought out for the picture handling utility. Some other Phone with camera function get around this using a removable "SD" card. This is asking alot for this LG phone. Usable port,as others have stated, would've been thoughtful. If anyone reads this and has insight into the Quote: " You can send pictures to other friends or an internet address." Please tell me what internet type of address they are talking about.?? thanks
The internet address they are talking about is like an email address or something like that. I have this phone too, and the only way I have found to get my pictures off the phone and onto my computer is to email them to myself.

I tried to email photos from my LG225 to my email address and all I got was a message with no photo. Any suggestions?
I followed the send menus from the photo on my LG225.
I also bought a cable that connects the LG225 to my computer, but my computer doesn't recognize the device.
any suggestions???
Does anyone know how the conference call feature works for the LG225? Yes, I've read the user's manual, but I don't see the feature that enables me to "join" the two calls. I can only "swap" betweent the two calls.
Any advice is welcome!
This does not look like an LG225, I have a real LG225 and it's a bit different.
It has a data cable connection in addition to the power connection. It does not have an external antenna like the one shown in the picture.
The button layout and phone design is a bit different, the one in the picture looks like an older model.
had this phone for 3 years now. still works great. camera has decent resolution. wish i could store more pictures on it though. it was a starter phone and it works great for that. highly recommended for new phone users.
I have been looking to getting a phone for my apartment on the beach so that I don't have to take my blackberry when I go down to the sand. This phone is innexpensive enough that I don't have to worry about ruining it and I dont have to maintain it with a monthly bill, just buy minutes and activate them whenever I plan to use the phone. Overall, the phone is pretty standard and it gets the job done. I am looking for simple and affordable, not fancy and pricey.
I travel a lot for work and I use this phone to keep in contact with my family. I don't like them using my work number because I am trying to keep it strictly for business. Anyway, this phone is great because no matter what part of the country I am in, I always have reception. With my old sprint phone, whenever I would travel to certain cities, my calls would just not come through and i was paying an arm and a leg for the plan and wasn't receiving my calls. With this one, I pay about $30 a month and have sufficient minutes and am always reachable. No dropped calls is also a big plus.
i have a tracfone because it does every thing my computer cant, i seriously just need to recieve and make calls when i cant use email, its that simple. phones are amazing nowadays, but i cant use these tiny little super computer phones, they are impossible, tracfone makes it simple for me and provides me with the service i need at the price i can afford
Impressive review. The LG225 is a wonderful phone. Simple, easy to use, and high quality. The Tracfone service is a big contributing factor with this phone though because it provides nationwide coverage, big savings each month, and great low prices. So with this phone and service, it's the package deal you don't want to miss out on :)
I don't have this phone but one of my co-workers does and i play with it all the time. In my experiences this phone seems to be reliable. I use this phone a lot to call out from work and have not had any problems. I was actually surprised at first how reliable this phone was.
Is there a way to block restricted or private numbers?
my ph was doing fine 6mo ago I could get my pic to my email without any problem.. Now I can only get 1 out of 20 to send, and I have to use every possible combination available to even get that... fail send msg , reend from outbox...... try resen combos fwd combos and occassional one will go through...Some one told me that trac ph has over sold the availabe air space they are allowed.... does this make sense? and why are they continuing to sell the phone with out informing the customer... I don't know if this is so, but will be upset if it is...
This really is a great phone. I got it with tracfone plan and I am? probably the happiest customer they have ever had. there are no hidden costs for roaming etc. It costs exactly what it says it costs - no more

Has anyone figured out how to transfer picutures to my computer from this phone without sending the picture as a text message? I wish they would let me download my phonebook also.
